"Every time the toilet flushed, my baby thought her life was about to end!" — From "BabyTalk", by April Hollingsworth, Tuscaloosa, AL
David
I always nurse Austin where ever I want to and change him where ever I want to!
ReplyDeleteWhen we adults go to a restaurant and eat, I just stick Austin under my oversized shirt and let him eat too!
And I try to change him when we're home because we usually don't stay out more than 3-4 hours and he can usually wait, unless he poops! But sometimes, the bathroom is too dirty or too full or no changing table available, then I change him anywhere... on the bench of a mall or in the shoe section (where there're seats) of a department store, or put two seats together in a restaurant...
And before Austin turned one, I usually take him out in my Baby Bojrn. So there's no problem of me going to the bathroom with him in it, unless if there's only squatting stalls available (in Taiwan), then you need a lot of leg strength to squat down and get up with a baby on you! Ha! Ha!
One memorable experience in Taipei which I thought was really cool is when Austin was younger and he was hungry and crying while I was shopping, there's an adjacent 5-star hotel so I went in. But I felt inappropriate nursing him right in the center lobby, so I asked the check-in counter. Since they didn't have a nursing room, a gentleman opened up a room for me to nurse my baby! I don't know if they always do that but it's worth a try if you're ever around the Far Eastern Hotel!
